Ravyn Lenae shares “Handle,” the first taste of her upcoming album Blue Island, arriving August 7 via Atlantic Records.

Lenae opens the door to Blue Island with “Handle,” a bright, slippery new single that arrives with an official video directed by Andre Muir and choreography by Akira Uchida.

The Chicago singer-songwriter has always sounded most compelling when she lets her voice move with a little mystery, and “Handle” plays directly into that strength. The song bends toward a new-wave pulse without losing the softness and melodic detail that made Bird’s Eye feel so intimate. There is a cool tension in the way she sings here—light on the surface, restless underneath—which makes the track feel like a clean first look at where this next chapter is headed.

Blue Island, Ravyn Lenae’s third full-length album, is scheduled for August 7 via Atlantic Records. It follows 2024’s Bird’s Eye and is also set to include the previously released “Bobby” and “Reputation” with Dominic Fike. After the long afterlife of “Love Me Not,” “Handle” feels less like a reset than a confident turn into a wider, freer space.
