Jim Jones recruits Yung Bleu and Kodie Shane for “In The Car,” the first single from his upcoming album, The Landlord.

Capo brings Yung Bleu and Kodie Shane into a smoother lane on “In The Car,” a late-night single that trades Dipset grit for something more polished and melodic without sanding Capo down completely. The record moves on atmospheric production from Piff, giving each voice enough space to settle into its own version of the same mood: luxury, tension, flirtation, and that private-after-hours energy built into the title.

Jones opens the track with a veteran’s control, keeping the delivery cool and direct while the beat does most of the floating around him. Kodie Shane gives “In The Car” its melodic center, and Yung Bleu slides in naturally with the R&B-leaning edge that makes the collaboration feel less like a forced lineup and more like a balanced handoff.

The song also kicks off the rollout for Jim Jones’ next album, The Landlord, currently set for June 12. After The Fall Before the Rise and At the Church Steps, “In The Car” points toward a sleeker chapter—still rooted in Jones’ Harlem presence, but built for a warmer, more nocturnal setting.
