French Montana & Max B – Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers [Album Stream]

French Montana and Max B reunite on Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers, a 27-track project featuring Rick Ross, Ye, Chinx, The Isley Brothers, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

French Montana and Max B bring the wave back into full album mode on Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers. The long-running Coke Wave chemistry is back at the center here, with both artists leaning into the sound they helped define together: glossy street rap, smoke-heavy melodies, and hooks that still feel built for summer nights and big rooms.

Across 27 tracks, the album leans into everything that made the Coke Wave connection so durable—glossy street music, smoke-heavy luxury rap, Max’s loose melodic pull, and French’s instinct for hooks that feel built for big rooms. After Max B’s return home and the Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos project earlier this year, Cosmos Brothers sounds less like a cautious comeback than a full reactivation of their shared orbit.

The guest list stays focused but heavy. Rick Ross adds presence to “Smoking Pt. 2,” Chase Belly joins the already-released “Bet It All,” Ye appears on “Unlocked,” The Isley Brothers bring a soul-rooted lift to “Addictive,” Ty Dolla $ign shows up on “Ever Since U Left Me,” and the late Chinx is heard on “Who Do You Love.” Those names give the album reach, but the center remains French and Max — two artists whose chemistry has always depended on contrast: French’s polished, chant-ready energy against Max’s slippery, half-sung cool.

“Smoking Pt. 2” makes the connection especially clear. The track nods back to the Coke Wave era without treating it like a museum piece, and the official video gives the album one of its bigger visual moments. Still, Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers works best when it stretches out and lets the wavy language breathe: luxurious, messy, melodic, New York-rooted and fully aware of the history behind it.
