The Atlanta-bred rapper moves through desire, self-doubt, family, money stress, love, faith and survival with a voice that stays conversational even when the stakes get dark.

Across 15 tracks, the album gives him room to stretch without losing the directness that has always made his best work hit. “Gotta Be More,” “Electric Revival,” “Funny Thing” and “Paper N Power” build out the project’s early pulse, while “Mr. Green Eyes” links him with Samara Cyn and “Reminders” brings in 6LACK, Childish Major and Anna Field for one of the more reflective moments on the record. J. Wes also appears on “Grass Greener,” adding another guest spot near the back end of the album.
