Kelela – linknb [Video]

Kelela keeps the new avatar rollout moving with the official video for “linknb,” a sharp, guitar-driven cut from her forthcoming third album, due July 10 via Warp.

The track bends her weightless vocal style around a rougher edge: tangled guitar lines, heavy drums, and a hook that feels less like a release of tension than a refusal to fold. Produced by Oscar Scheller, “linknb” reportedly started as a mantra Kelela wrote while pushing through writer’s block, and you can hear that sense of forward motion in the record’s clipped, determined pulse.

Directed by Mischa Notcutt, the video leans into city textures and movement rather than over-explaining the song. It arrives after “idea 1” and points toward an album that is set to feature PinkPantheress, A. K. Paul, and Fousheé, with Kelela framing the project around confrontation, clarity, beauty, and joy in the middle of a chaotic moment.
