India Shawn – Subject To Change [EP]
India Shawn’s “Subject To Change” gathers six fluid R&B cuts executive produced by D’Mile, including “Cotton Candy Blvd” with Lucky Daye and the new “Marmalade” visual.
The R&B songstress turns movement, uncertainty, and romantic self-preservation into a compact arc on her new offering.
Executive produced by D’Mile, the six-song project keeps its focus tight without feeling narrow. “Marmalade” opens the door with bright, dance-floor warmth, while “’Til Infinity” softens the pace before Lucky Daye joins her on the previously released “Cotton Candy Blvd.” From there, Shawn moves into the fuller emotional pull of “Rain On Me,” the guarded clarity of “Kill Switch,” and the closing push-and-pull of “Multiplicity.”
The title does real work here. “Subject To Change” is built around shifting feelings rather than fixed answers, and Shawn sounds comfortable letting that instability breathe. The writing stays intimate, but the production gives each song its own temperature—sunny, late-night, vulnerable, or slightly bruised depending on where the EP turns next.
The release also comes with a new visual for “Marmalade,” which leans into a disco-styled setting and gives the opener an extra layer of movement. It is a fitting entry point for a project that feels polished without sanding down the emotional edges.
