The bigger context gives it extra weight too. “Crash Out” is set to appear on “Chill’s Spotlight Vol. 7,” curated by Charles “Chill” Patton, with the full project scheduled for May 1 via 1st & 15th / Thirty Tigers. That makes this less of a random one-off and more of an official bridge between Lupe’s early foundation and the label world he helped build.
