Snoop Dogg – Ten Til Midnight (Short Film) [Video]

Snoop Dogg goes bigger than a standard video rollout with “Ten Til Midnight,” a short film that doubles as the visual companion to his upcoming album of the same name.

The film is out now, while the 14-track “10 Til’ Midnight” album is set to follow on April 10 through Death Row/gamma. Written and directed by Luis De Pena and Yaslynn Rivera, the project expands the world Snoop has already started teasing with “Stop Counting My Poccets” into something more cinematic and fully self-contained.

That bigger framing is exactly what makes this land. Instead of tossing out another isolated clip, Snoop leans into a black-and-white, West Coast gangster-film aesthetic and builds an actual narrative around two brothers, Ru Little and Do Wrong, both played by Snoop himself, as a heist spirals out of control. With appearances from Ray Vaughn, G Perico, Hitta J3, and BLK ODYSSY, “Ten Til Midnight” feels less like promo content and more like an extension of the album’s whole identity—slick, stylized, and rooted in the kind of California crime-cinema mythology Snoop can wear better than almost anybody.
