A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – Before Artistry [EP]

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is back in “warm-up mode” with “Before Artistry”—a tight 6-track EP that plays like a runway check before the next full-era takeoff.

Released today via Atlantic / Highbridge, it’s short (about 18 minutes) but intentional: the kind of release that keeps the streets fed while also tightening the focus on what A Boogie does best—melodic instincts, clean pockets, and that Bronx-grown mix of pain and flex.

“Glitchin’” sets the tone with that restless, late-night energy, then “Show Me Something Real” leans into the emotional center—less posturing, more pressure behind the voice. From there, the tape adds just enough variety to keep it moving: “PGD” brings in Kyle Richh & ZEDDY WILL for a more local, scene-connected moment, while “Red Light” links with Trippie Redd for a hookier, more melodic closer that feels built to travel.

What’s most satisfying about “Before Artistry” is that it doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s compact, replayable, and clearly designed to keep momentum high—like A Boogie’s reminding everyone that he can drop a focused set of songs without turning it into a whole thesis. If you’re pulling up for the album stream, it’s live on the major DSPs now (and there’s an official YouTube playlist up as well).
