Polo G – Chances [Video]

Polo G just dropped the official video for “Chances”, and it lands like a quick, clean reminder of what he does best: emotionally honest rap that still moves like street music.

The single itself is tight—barely two minutes—but it doesn’t feel rushed. It feels intentional, like he’s trimming the fat and getting straight to the part where it actually hurts. “Chances” is also part of the rollout for “Hood Poet: Black Heart Edition”, the expanded/deluxe continuation of his 2024 “Hood Poet” era (the original album dropped August 9, 2024). With the “Black Heart Edition” arriving December 19, this one reads like a late-cycle statement: he’s not here to decorate the timeline—he’s here to put more weight back in the music.

On the production side, “Chances” is credited to Oz On The Track and SlickDa3rd, a pairing that fits Polo when he’s in that reflective pocket—melody-forward, but built for confessionals, not clichés. And that’s the key thing: “Chances” doesn’t try to sound like a comeback; it sounds like somebody taking stock. The hook and the verses circle around risk, consequences, and the cost of getting it wrong—then trying to live better with the scars still visible.

The video is out now—run it below, and if “Black Heart Edition” really carries this energy across the tracklist, Friday’s drop is about to hit different.
