Ferg – Rock My World Freestyle [Video]

Harlem’s Ferg keeps his “Flip Phone Shorty” run in motion with the new “Rock My World Freestyle”, a loose, non-album drop that lands just a couple of weeks after his project, “Flip Phone Shorty – Strictly For Da Streetz Vol. 1“.

Clocking in at around 4:33, the freestyle lives on his official Ferg channel and plays like a quick flex from an artist clearly enjoying this new phase under the refreshed moniker. Sonically, “Rock My World Freestyle” is exactly what the title hints at: Ferg floating over a feel-good instrumental that nods to Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World”, flipping that early-2000s glow into a New York rap pocket. Lyrically he stays in his bag – exclusive parties, art-week flexes, owning his masters and plotting the next moves – delivered with the loose, conversational confidence that’s been running through the “Flip Phone Shorty” era. It feels more like him talking directly to the listener than a tightly structured single, which fits the freestyle tag perfectly.

The video doubles as an Art Basel recap: Miami nights, champagne, galleries, beautiful people and quick cameos (including bumping into Diplo in the elevator) cut together like a moving postcard from Ferg’s current life.

No heavy storyline, just hedonism, art and motion, with the MJ-inspired groove tying it all together. Hit play on “Rock My World Freestyle” and, if you haven’t yet, circle back to “Flip Phone Shorty – Strictly For Da Streetz Vol. 1” to catch the full wave this loosie is spilling out of.
