Clipse feat. Tyler, The Creator – P.O.V. [Video]

Clipse keep the “Let God Sort Em Out” run in motion with the official video for “P.O.V.”, their link-up with Tyler, The Creator.

The track is one of the album’s clear highlights – a cold, slow-rolling flex piece built on Pharrell’s tense, cinematic backdrop that even sneaks in an interpolation of the “Streets of San Francisco” theme.

Lyrically it’s everything you’d want from this lineup: Pusha in pure coke-rap sniper mode, Malice sounding laser-focused, and Tyler threading the needle between fanboy and peer – a verse he’s said he re-recorded dozens of times just to get it right. The hook circles around wealth, status and perspective, flipping “P.O.V.” into a statement about who really gets to set the tone in rap right now.

For the “P.O.V.” visual, they team up with Lyrical Lemonade and director Cole Bennett, who places the crew at a surreal dinner show scored by a creepy animatronic band – somewhere between high-end restaurant and horror arcade. It’s stylish, unsettling and perfectly in step with the album’s run of sharp, stripped-back visuals.

Hit play on “P.O.V.” and then run “Let God Sort Em Out” front to back if you somehow still haven’t.
