D Smoke – Chin Up [Video]

D Smoke keeps the “Wake Up Supa” campaign moving with the official video for “Chin Up”.

The track appears on his Death Row Records debut album “Wake Up Supa“, released via WoodWorks Records / Death Row earlier this year, and is produced by longtime collaborator J.LBS.

On wax, “Chin Up” is pure rallying-cry energy. Over J.LBS’ widescreen, soulful knock, Smoke flips a string of motivational mantras into something that still feels gritty: “Put yo’ motherfuckin’ hands up… even when you get knocked down, right when you get up, better keep your chin up.” The verses move from personal stories of friends coming home from long bids to Spanish-language reflections on faith, revenge and staying ten toes down. It’s about resilience when life is swinging on you, refusing to let anyone “smaller… outbox” you mentally or spiritually.

The “Chin Up” video brings that message onto the court. Co-directed by Aramis Duran and D Smoke himself, the visual plays like a short film set in a gym, complete with a cameo from NBA legend Paul Pierce.

Between performance shots and one-on-one face-offs, you get a blend of rap and basketball culture that fits the song’s fight-through-adversity hook perfectly: every drill, every possession, every bar is about keeping your head high no matter how hard the game gets.

As another highlight pulled from “Wake Up Supa“, “Chin Up” doubles as both workout fuel and life advice—exactly the kind of grounded, motivational storytelling that’s turning D Smoke’s Death Row era into his most focused chapter yet.
