Yuna – If You Don’t Love Me [Audio]

Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna returns with a soft but decisive new single, “If You Don’t Love Me”.

The track is a standalone release, clocking in at just under three minutes, and arrives via her own YRR imprint / Independent Co., another step in her fully independent era.

Musically, “If You Don’t Love Me” sits in that mellow, late-night space Yuna does so well: gentle drums, a spacious groove and a clean, minimal arrangement that gives her vocal all the room it needs. She leans into a hushed delivery, tracing the moment you realise the spark is gone and start quietly asking for your freedom instead of begging someone to stay. Rather than wallow, she takes the grown route – if the love isn’t there anymore, don’t drag each other down.

Written and produced by Yuna herself, the song underlines how complete her creative control has become. It also keeps up her streak of dropping at least one project a year: “if you don’t love me” follows last year’s “Wasting Away” EP, extending the introspective, stripped-back mood of that record into 2025. For the fans, she’s even bundled the single into a digital pack with the track, handwritten lyrics, a short video, moodboard and wallpaper – a neat little capsule of where her head and heart are right now.

Quiet, honest and gently devastating, “If You Don’t Love Me” is Yuna choosing clarity over chaos – and sounding beautifully in control while she does it.
