Lil Uzi Vert – Relevant [Video] + Chanel Boy [Audio]
Lil Uzi Vert wastes zero time announcing his new era with “Relevant”.
Fresh off dropping “Chanel Boy”, Uzi doubles back the same day with a second single and official video, kicking off his run as an independent artist under Cor(e) / Roc Nation Distribution and taking full control of his next chapter.
The track itself is pure flex-mode Uzi. Over production from Trillion, Rima and Trilla, he locks into a repetitive, hypnotic hook built around being “an addict” for cash, bad baddies and high-end toys, name-dropping Brabus G-Wagens and playing captain of his own ship. It’s short, punchy, and designed for instant replay – the kind of record that lives in your head after two spins, whether you want it to or not. Early listeners are already split in the best way: some yelling “we’re back,” others arguing about flows and demanding an even crazier level from Uzi in this new phase.
For the “Relevant” video, Uzi leans all the way into fashion-god status. The clip, produced by SeeworldTurtle, is basically a lookbook in motion, with Uzi cycling through fits draped in Balenciaga, Chrome Hearts and Miu Miu, flexing like someone who knows they now own their masters and can do exactly what they want. It’s slick, colourful and all about presence rather than a big narrative – classic Uzi.
“Relevant” follows last year’s album “Eternal Atake 2“, which closed out his previous major-label run. Between the rapid-fire drop schedule, the new distribution setup and this fashion-heavy visual, it feels like a mission statement: Lil Uzi Vert is independent, focused – and still very much relevant.
