Tweet – Toot Toot [Video]

Tweet glides back into view with “Toot Toot”, the lead single from her forthcoming fourth studio album “Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird”, due in early 2026.

Originally recorded over 20 years ago for her 2005 album “It’s Me Again” and left in the vault, the song finally surfaces as a slow-burning, grown-woman R&B cut that feels both vintage and freshly polished.

Produced by Walter W. Millsap III and Eric Walls and released via SRG-ILS / SoNo Recording Group, “Toot Toot” leans into classic neo-soul textures: warm bass, silky guitars and a laid-back groove that leaves plenty of room for Tweet’s feather-light, expressive vocals. Lyrically she’s drawing a firm line—singing about a love that’s raising too much hell, and choosing to walk away with her dignity intact.

The video, directed by Javier Crump with creative direction from Shenice Robinson, wraps that story in pure early-2000s nostalgia: rich colors, wood-paneled walls, vinyl stacks and a cozy living-room setting that feels like an update of the world she introduced on “Southern Hummingbird“. Tweet sits calm and assured at the center of it all, turning a breakup into a soft, confident exit.

As a first look at “Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird”, “Toot Toot” does exactly what it should—remind everyone why her voice has always felt timeless, and hint that there are more gems waiting in the vault.
