ENNY’s “Selfridges” moves like a daydream and a fed-up rant at the same time.
Over Gotts Street Park’s smooth, summery production, she spirals through burnout, money stress and quiet spiritual slippage — “still out here losing my mind… I ain’t been praying… I’m just tryna get paid” — all delivered with that effortless, half-sung, half-spoken swing she’s known for.
In the video, co-directed with Ivor Lawson-Adamah, the “Peng Black Girls Cleaning Company” bit pays off: ENNY and Face In The News start as cleaners in a rich man’s house, swipe his Black Card and spin it into a carefree spree before reality snaps back. It’s playful, sharp and very her — a comeback single that makes being overwhelmed sound strangely uplifting.
