“Complications” is exactly what you’d hope for from this lineup: August Fanon lays down a somber, misty loop that feels like bad weather inside your head, while woods and Aesop pick it apart with dense, paranoid imagery and sideways philosophy. Aes opens with that wild “man is to time like twine is to kitten” run, and woods follows in full Cold War poet mode, circling surveillance, dread and day-to-day grind without ever spelling anything out.
The video, directed by Evan Gütt & Nimi Einstein, leans into the tension — stark, cinematic shots that keep the three of them boxed in, no storyline, no distractions, just atmosphere thick enough to chew on. It’s one of the heaviest cuts off “gowillog“, and the visuals make it feel even more like what the title promises: nothing here is simple, and that’s the whole point.
