“The Mileage” feels like K.R.I.T. clocking in for another long drive and reminding everyone the tank is still full.

Dropped as a standalone 2025 single in the middle of his “Gotta Do It” / “Miss Black America” / “Yeah Buddy” run, it’s unapologetically Southern: thick low end, cruising tempo, that familiar mix of trunk-rattle and warm, road-trip synths.

The title says it all. This is music for people who actually ride – highway speakers buzzing, miles blurring, problems shrinking in the rearview. K.R.I.T. leans into that metaphor he’s used before (“the game’s an open road and I needed the mileage”) and turns it into a mantra for experience over hype: you can’t fake hours on the road, you can’t fake years in the game.
