Homeboy Sandman & GUIDANCE – Tears Of Joy [EP]

Queens veteran Homeboy Sandman links with London producer GUIDANCE for a new EP, titled “Tears of Joy”.

GUIDANCE keeps the beats minimal—dusty loops, clipped drums, plenty of air—so Sandman can thread nimble cadences and unshowy wisdom. It’s pensive without dragging, more “clear-eyed calm” than chest-thumping. Sandman himself framed it as downbeat but still joyful, and the music backs that up.

The 6-song EP that clocks in around 14 minutes and wastes none of them. “Tears of Joy” arrived October 3 with a Bandcamp drop and full DSP rollout; the artwork comes courtesy of Luke Warmth.
