Myka 9 & Blu – Park Bench [Video]
Two masters, one solemn hymn.
Myka 9 and Blu lock in for “Park Bench”, a hushed, clear-eyed cut produced by Mono En Stereo and rolled out ahead of their joint album “God Takes Care Of Babies & Fools” (out Oct 3 via Nature Sounds). It’s sparse on purpose: room for breath, room for bars, and a subject that needs both.
Mono En Stereo lines up jazz-tinged textures and an unhurried drum swing while the emcees sketch scenes you can feel: cardboard pillows, public-space prayers, the small mercies that get you through another night. It’s a spiritual cousin to Myka’s classic “Park Bench People”, but older, steadier, and more urgent.
The visual keeps it grounded—street-level frames, measured pacing, no cheap dramatics—so the writing stays front and center. It reads like witness and tribute at once, the camera lingering where most videos would cut away.
