Joey Bada$$ recently commented on the prevalence of West Coast Hip-Hop over the past year, notably on his track “The Ruler’s Back”, stating there was “too much West Coast dick licking.”
This sparked reactions from other artists, including Ray Vaughn, who released “Crashout Heritage” in response to Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Pt. 6”. The conversation saw a small resurgence yesterday with the release of a Red Bull freestyle featuring Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, and Big Sean, despite being filmed a couple of months earlier.
In response to recent events, Ray Vaughn has dropped a pointed diss track called ‘Hoe Era’. The track is notably more aggressive towards Joey Bada$$ than his previous remarks and also takes aim at CJ Fly, following CJ’s diss on the “HIYU Freestyle”. Check out the track below.
