Mark Ski – RECLESS [Album Stream]

Guess who’s back with a new masterpiece!

Northampton-based DJ and producer Mark Ski is a cornerstone of the local Hip-Hop scene, collaborating regularly with top national and international artists as both a DJ and producer.

His debut album, “Catch-REC“, earned high praise, with frequent spins from legends like DJ Premier and DJ Eclipse and accolades from respected platforms like Insomniac Magazine and UGHH. It even garnered support from icons Pete Rock and Bobbito Garcia. Following this success, Mark released a series of instrumental EPs and performed across the UK, both solo and alongside MC FFSYTHO?!.

Now, for his sophomore album, “RECLESS”, Mark delivers eleven fresh tracks that fuse classic Hip-Hop vibes with modern beats and cuts, featuring an impressive roster of underground Hip-Hop talent from both sides of the Atlantic. “RECLESS” takes listeners on a thrilling Hip-Hop journey with appearances from Booda French, FFSYTHO?!, Four Elements and Beyond, Guilty Simpson, Homeboy Sandman, H3RO, Jake Palumbo, Katiah One, Nutso, Rasheed Chappell, Robb P, SoSoon, and Tony Dimes. The well-received singles “Back In The Day” featuring Rasheed Chappell and “Dry Sockets” featuring Jake Palumbo have already offered a taste of the album, drawing attention from DJs like Boba Fatt and outlets like Ear Milk and The Allergies.

From the cinematic Boom Bap of the opener “Go For Mine” to the rapid-fire flows of the closing title track, each collaboration highlights Mark’s versatile production, covering everything from classic Hip-Hop and Future Boom Bap to Jazz, Lo-Fi, hardcore NY Rap, Deep Funk, and RnB. RECLESS may be “reckless” in name, but it’s precise and powerful in execution.
