G Herbo – Big Swerv [Album Stream]
Chicago’s own G Herbo is back in action with his brand new studio album, titled “Big Swerv”.
A decade after “Welcome to Fazoland” cemented G Herbo’s presence in the drill scene, the Chicago rapper remains a strong figure in hip-hop. The 2020s have been especially good to him, with hits like PTSD and collaborations alongside artists such as Gunna and Nardo Wick. Following the success of his double album Survivor’s Remorse, Herbo returns with a more streamlined project, “Big Swerv”. In this album, he reflects on his roots, particularly on the opener “Strike You”, which highlights how his past shapes his present.
Producers Oz on the Track and Southside play a major role in “Big Swerv”, with Oz handling the deep bass lines on tracks like Yup and Southside contributing heavy trap anthems such as “Spend That Bag” and “Trim”. Herbo also reunites with Chief Keef for No Pics, where he rejects the pitfalls of fame while continuing to stand as a pioneer in drill music. Familiar themes resurface throughout the project, with collaborations from Skilla Baby on “Shoot” and 21 Savage on “In the A”, adding further weight to the unsettling tones of the album.
