Beneficence & Jazz Spastiks – Summer Night Sessions [Album Stream]
New Jersey emcee Beneficence joins forces with UK-based producer duo Jazz Spastiks to unveil a timeless gem: their collaborative album “Summer Night Sessions”.
This release features a distinctly jazzy street vibe, with smoothly crafted, intellectually engaging lyrics. As the Ill Adrenaline co-founder, Beneficence presents his eighth full-length album, showcasing over 25 years of independent music success while setting a high standard with masterful lo-fi, jazzy boom-bap sounds. Following the acclaim of his previous album, “Stellar Mind” (2021), which included a memoir titled “Concrete Soul – The Memoir & Making of Ill Adrenaline Records”, this close Artifacts affiliate delivers a personal tapestry of authentic hip-hop, enriched by the brilliant backdrop provided by Jazz Spastiks.
“Summer Night Sessions” features an impressive lineup of guest appearances, including Skyzoo, Saukrates, Doodlebug (of Digable Planets), Awon, El Da Sensei (of The Artifacts), J-Live, Rakaa Iriscience (of Dilated Peoples), Kid Abstrakt, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and Grammy-nominated R&B artist Anthony David on a CD/digital-only bonus track. The first single, “Do This, Do That” featuring Awon, showcases Beneficence’s smooth flow over captivating horns, reflecting on his early days in the music scene.
The seamless fusion of Jazz Spastiks’ enchanting sounds and Beneficence’s sharp lyricism creates rich, hypnotic tracks for hip-hop aficionados seeking certified dopeness.
