H.E.R. Peforms On iHeartRadio’s Living Room Concert Series [Video]

H.E.R. took to iHeart Radio’s Living Room Concert Series to debut a new song, “I Can’t Breathe”.

“These lyrics were kind of easy to write because it came from a conversation of what’s happening right now, what’s been happening, and the change that we need to see. I think music is powerful when it comes to change and when it comes to healing and that’s why I wrote this song, to make a mark in history. And I hope this song does that.”

The iHeartRadio Living Room Series Presented by State Farm is pleased to bring you a weekly performance series to bring all of our neighborhoods and communities together for performances by some of music’s top artists. Tune in each Wednesday at 7pm ET for an intimate performance by your favorite artist right from their own living room! Each week we will feature a charity doing good work for our communities in a time when we need it most. This week’s highlighted charity is the National Urban League. The National Urban League is a historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization whose 90 affiliates around the country provide direct services like job training, after-school mentoring and housing counseling, that impact and improve the lives of more than two million people nationwide. During this time, they working directly with members of Congress to fight for coronavirus response and police reform legislation that directs targeted relief to the communities that are hardest hit. And all over the country, the Urban League’s 90 affiliates are serving as economic first responders – holding weekly food drives, advocating for police reform, serving as testing centers, hosting virtual job fairs and legislative policy sessions and providing support to black owned businesses. In response to the civil unrest and pandemic, The National Urban League has launched a nationwide response campaign, called The Urban League Fights For You – an education, service and advocacy campaign aimed at getting the most up-to-date and accurate information about the our nation’s crisis out to the public, connecting people to the help they need, and making sure that the vulnerable communities we serve are protected and prioritized.
