Big Cousin – Blue Money [EP]

London-by-way-of-New York rapper Big Cousin is making a hefty statement with the release of his debut project, “Blue Money”.

While a majority of the project is a solo affair for this rising rapper, Big Cousin is joined by a pair of guest emcees who have had a serious impact on his career. First, we find the Midwest’s own Stalley on the Khrysis-produced title track, for a collaboration that BC recalls as one of the most important moments of his life. “He gave me some wise words” says BC. “Things that definitely opened my eyes and made me want to take this to the next level,” he adds. And for the EP’s closer, you can find none other than Evidence kicking some slick bars over a Nottz instrumental on “Bleed Respect.” The title track is also accompanied with a visual, under the directorial lens of Deevelop Media who follow the two rappers as they spit their bars on a Hollis street corner. It’s a fittingly chill scenario that captures the blue-collar vibe of the track.
