DJ Rhettmatic – Beats By Rhettmatic (The Boom Bap Collection 2.0) [Mixtape]
DJ Rhettmatic kicks off the new year with the re-release of his 2010 project, “Beats By Rhettmatic (The Boom Bap Collection 2.0)”.
Originally I dropped this mixtape/album compilation in May 10, 2010, in honor of my birthday as well as in honor of our 1st ever Crown Royale European Tour with my brothers Buff1 aka Jamall Bufford & producer extrodinaire 14KT (The Crown Royale album dropped on Dec. 7th, 2009). All the songs on this compilation have either been produced on Propellerhead Reason, the Akai MPC2000, or the EMU SP1200. The artists that I have worked with over the years are featured in this project: Aloe Blacc, Exile, El Da Sensei, Frank Nitt, M.E.D., OhNo, Pumpkinhead (RIP), Prince Po (Organized Konfusion), Ras Kass, of course my group The Visionaries, & many more. If you have this project already from many years back, I thank you….if not, I hope these songs will take you down memory lane. And if you never heard this project or some of the songs, I hope you will like some of my past work. I wanted to re-release it for 2019, just to get the new year started off on a good note, as well get people ready for the new Visionaries album dropping in 2019 (yes, folks….we’re really dropping an actual new album; I’m proud & honored to say that I’m producing the whole album. We’ll let you know when it drops). And thank you to everyone who’s been following my progression as a producer/beatmaker & have been supporting my projects over the years. Everybody knows me as a DJ/Turntablist, but I hope they also now know me as a Producer. Happy New Year everyone….much blessings, health, & prosperity.
