On his debut release, Donnie Raven triumphs over the pain and demons of his past to share his incredible writing talents. His approach to lyricism blends witty wordplay with sharp narration to deliver bars in a style and voice all his own. There’s a cool, calm confidence to the Denver rapper’s demeanor on the mic, and it helps make his first project, the “Livelihood” EP, one of the year’s best. The six track EP is largely produced by Nottz, and includes a guest feature from Detroit’s own, Elzhi.
