Read moreOn the latest installment of Emoji Roulette, Sacramento rapper Mozzy stopped by The FADER to give us a deeper glimpse into his world. He reflected on his appreciation for U.K. fans, showed his respect for YG, and felt crushed by the hypothetical shuttering of Oak Park Market, a beloved hometown hot spot. When asked how he’d react to a text from his grandma saying she was proud of him, he gushed: “I don’t care if I just bodied somebody… when it comes to Granny, I’m Granny’s baby.”
Read more“Testify” is the lead single to Vice Souletric’s upcoming EP, “T.R.A.P. (The Reality of All People)”. The hard-hitting single is the first offering since Vice’s 2016 debut LP, “Vice for President” and reveals the Ohio artist’s evolution from simply spitting rhymes to touching on emotions through well-crafted music. Vice’s last LP, “Vice For President 2”, highlighted Vice’s skills behind the mic and behind the boards with some of Hip Hop’s most respected names such as Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, Rapper Big Pooh and more. The “T.R.A.P.” project will reveal Vice’s ability to work with multiple producers, leading off with “Testify”, produced by See See Beats. The visuals for “Testify”, shot by Chem Vision and directed by Big Mos, find Souletric hidden away in a Hip Hop trap house, with CDs and merchandise taking the place of illegal contraband. The setting is fitting for the hard working Ohio emcee, who proudly boasts, “I rep Cleveland cause we dem boyz. Believeland dawg. We don’t take a season off.”

Read moreOn his brand-new banger “Alone,” King Magnetic trades fiery verses with two living rap legends, Slug (of Atmosphere) and Masta Ace, over hard-hitting production from Khrysis. Making the cipher complete is Queens’ own DJ Eclipse, who provides the slick scratches on the hook. The release of “Alone” follows two other heaters off Mag’s upcoming album, ‘Everything Happens 4 A Reason’: the symphonic slapper, “I’ll Show You” featuring Cappadonna and Dink, and the project’s inaugural leak, “Cash 4 Catastrophe” which was accompanied with a video: youtu.be/s_IqXSFglAs Just as fans enjoyed the real-talk of “Cash,” we’re treated to Hip-Hop in its purest form on “Alone.” Of course, we have King Mag and his teeth-gritting bars to thank for that, in addition to the always-sharp rhymes of his guests. Slug and Ace are the type of elder-rap statesmen who haven’t once lost a step in their decades-long careers, whether they’re talking their sh*t or serving up wisdom. The two provide a fine offering of both on “Alone” alongside King Mag, who in addition to his upcoming album is getting ready to hit the road soon. He’ll be touring alongside Wu-Tang Clan heavyweight Cappadonna, and up-and-comer Recognize Ali. “Alone” can now be played through all major streaming outlets, and is available for download as the third and final instant grat track off the iTunes pre-order for EH4AR, which drops next Friday (3/31) through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms via King Mag Music.

Read moreAllan Rayman shares a short film called “Verona’s Obsession Vol. 01”, which is basically a music video for “13” off his “Roadhouse 01” project. “In a celebrity-obsessed world, I wanted to show that the fantasy of fandom often has a darker reality,” director Gabriel Adelman told The FADER, who premiered the video. “I drew inspiration from my favourite early 80’s music videos and films, such as ‘Thriller’ and Evil Dead. It’s a format I’ve been wanting to work in since obsessively watching Much Music Video Countdown as a kid.”
