Zaytoven is a musical mastermind. Hailing from Oakland, but firmly based in Atlanta, he was worked with some of the most notable names in hip hop from Migos and Future to Young Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert, and of course, Gucci Mane. A long time confidant of Gucci, he produced on the rapper’s 9th studio album, Everybody Looking, shortly after the Trap God was released from prison this summer. The beat-maker sat down with us to describe how he would envision himself as a superhero.
Considering Zay’s rhythmic prowess, it’s not wonder his alter-ego would take on the form of Mr. Funky Fingers, a metahuman who possesses ultra-symphonic powers and is on a mission to save music.
