Banks & Steelz (RZA & Paul Banks) Talk New Album, Exclusive Preview Favorite Verse + More [Video]

Hard Knock Tv’s Nick Huff Barili sat down with Banks & Steelz – a musical collaboration between Wu Tang Clan’s RZA and Interpol’s Paul Banks for an in-depth interview. In part 1 of the conversation Rza and Paul announce that their upcoming debut album will be titled Anything But Words and share the story of how the collaboration was birthed from a night out at a tequila bar in NYC. RZA and Banks then began working on music together in 2013. In this interview the duo gives insight as to how they built their sound from jamming at Rza’a studio in LA and how RZA had to pay to sample his own voice from a previous Wu-Tang record. Before part 1 finishes, RZA gives us an exclusive preview of Paul’s favorite RZA verse on the album, share their appreciation for Leonard Cohen and More!

The duo have also revealed the album’s track-listing (see below), plus special guest appearances by Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, Kool Keith, and Wu Tan Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Masta Killa.
