SUPER w/ Rapsody [Video]

North Carolina’s own Rapsody is an enigma. She’s seriously been making strides in the rap game after high-profile features on Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp a Butterfly, but Kendrick didn’t pick her out of the blue — she’s been establishing herself as one of the foremost underground lyricists for years now. How does she do it?

Well, having a Jedi alter-ego, ‘Queen Rap,’ doesn’t hurt. For our newest episode of SUPER… Rapsody details her character’s all black kimono-hoodie, because she “[Doesn’t] want blackness to always be associated with evil.” As far as powers go, she can change all your emotions into positivity. Just listen to one of her songs to see what that sounds like. Plus she got a fly ass tree house. What’s not to like? Watch the episode of SUPER… above, and catch Rapsody perform this summer as part of Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.
