Rhythm Roulette w/ K-Def [Video]

For the latest episode of Rhythm Roulette, we got up with New Jersey representative K-Def. (His discography runs long, but most known him as the man responsible for the complex-ass chop on Lord Of The Underground’s hit single “Chief Rocka,” as well as the scratches.) The DJ and producer brought us to Irish Records in Jersey City, where he picked out some gems, including The Witch Doctor by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, and Lee Morgan’s Cornbread.

K-Def got to work right in the record store, taking bits and pieces from each album to craft some funky shit. Watch him get busy above; afterwards, check out his favorite beats.
