With SXSW Music Festival right around the corner Hard Knock TV decided to revisit one of the most talked about panels from last year: Behind the Hit: Inside the Mind of a Producer. The panel featured Just Blaze, Drumma Boy, Salaam Remi, Dan Nakamura aka Dan The Automator and was moderated by Hard Knock TV’s own Nick Huff Barili. This video clip starts of with Salaam Remi and Just Blaze talking about songs that ended up with different artist than they had originally produced beat for. Salaam details how the beat for Fu Gee La was originally made for Fat Joe but ended up being a hit song for the Fugees. Just Blaze talks about some of his beats also ended up with different artists like how Girls, Girls, Girls was originally for Ghostface before Jay Z made it his.
