Scoop DeVille Predicts He & Kendrick Will Win Grammy [Video]

West Coast producer Scoop DeVille opens up about his relationship with Kendrick Lamar, whom he met while doing a project with Game. He explains that he linked up with Kendrick after the session while also working with Jay Rock, and it then turned into Scoop producing songs on Kendrick’s “good kid m.A.A.d city.” When Scoop reveals that he’s up for his first Grammy with the album, he says they “have to win” this year. The conversation then turns to Dr. Dre not working on Kendrick’s first album, Scoop says that it wasn’t anything negative. He adds that “The Recipe,” from Kendrick’s “good kid m.A.A.d city,” was originally slated for Dre’s highly anticipated “Detox” album.
