J. Cole Talks MTV’s Hottest MCs List, “Power Trip”, “Dedication 4”, Joint Album With Kendrick Lamar & More [Audio]

Out in Atlanta, J.Cole stopped by Means St. Studios to chop it up with DJ Drama for a lengthy interview. He talks about MTV’s Hottest MCs list and gives his thoughts about it. He talks about his new single ‘Power Trip’ and why he decided to get Miguel on it. He also reveals that he was originally singing the hook on the original version. Cole also tells an interesting story about the original verse he did for Lil Wayne’s ‘Dedication 4′ and how Jay-Z had him keep it for himself. J.Cole once again reassures us that the joint project with Kendrick Lamar is coming and why they decided to make it an album instead of a mixtape. At the end, he mentions that the ‘Power Trip’ video will shot next week.

J.Cole also talks about why he isn’t doing shows right now, his debut album and what he would have changed about it, getting Missy Elliott on ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, basketball and more.
