The Beatnuts — Hit Me With That (Gummy Soul Remix) [Video]

The creator of 93 Still is back again with the new video remix project, Bap City. Featuring grimey 90s New York hip-hop artists M.O.P., AZ, Kool G Rap, and The Beatnuts, it takes you back to the days of 40 Below Tims and Champion hoodies, and showcases the harder side of hip hop’s Golden Era. “Everyday in high school, I would come home and watch Rap City,” says Gummy Soul founder Wally Clark. “That’s how I would discover some of the more underground artists of the time, such as Teflon and Smoothe Da Hustler. I wanted to create a block of videos that could be viewed together, and would capture the essence of watching Rap City in the 90s.” Filled with grimey samples over hard boom bap drums, Bap City is the perfect soundtrack for these freezing winter nights. So strap on your Tims and hoodies and enjoy Bap City.

DJ P.F. Cuttin – Danger: Classic N.Y. HipHop Anthems [Album Promo Mixtape]

»When the east is in the house, oh my god, danger!« Was 1995 als Schlachtruf aus jedem Jeep-Lautsprecher dröhnte, war die Hook des legendären Tracks »Danger« vom New Yorker Rap-Duo Blahzay Blahzay, bestehend aus MC Outloud und DJ P.F. Cuttin. »Danger: Classic N.Y.

LikNuts (Tha Alkaholiks & The Beatnuts) – Grumpy Crocodile [Video]

Tha Alkaholiks + The Beatnuts = LikNuts. “Hip-Hop legend” is an overused and overstated phrase that gets tossed around way too lightly, landing on the heads of anyone in the rap game who’s been lucky enough to have a couple of solid singles, or has put out more than one record without fading into obscurity. But in truth, the legends of the rap world are made through hard work, individuality, and success for over a decade (while making it look easy)…Combine two of the greatest hip hop party groups ever from the West and the East coast Tha Alkaholiks and The Beatnuts together and you have the supergroup… LIKNUTS. Disputably the most anticipated release of 2012 to hip hop fans worldwide, this collaboration is sure to be an instant Hip-Hop classic. Welcome to the Liknuts Project.
