Navarro (fka Scheme) – Hunger Of Memory [Audio x Download]

Chicago-born Mexican emcee Navarro (formerly known as Scheme) is back with a new freebie called “Hunger Of Memory”. Says Navarro: ‘This is the intro to an upcoming album called “De Este Lado Tambien Hay Sueños”. Song produced by Custom and Serious. The picture is my father (on far left) with his friends working in farms in the US in the 70s. He came in search of a dream. Hoping to make a life for his wife (my mother) and his daughters (my sisters) back in Mexico. He eventually returned because he couldn’t do it without them and they all came back as a family. I was born and raised in Chicago. I’ve been given countless opportunities because of the sacrifices my parents made. I will forever be grateful. Thank you to all the immigrants in our beautiful country that make it run every day.’ Stream/download below.

Scheme & DJ Scend – Pocket Full Of Pesos [Mixtape]

Scheme & DJ Scend team up to bring to you Pocket Full of Pesos. A mixtape which focuses on the MC and the DJ; beats and rhymes. The purpose was to bring back the essence of the mixtape. An MC showcasing his skills, and his DJ blending/mixing the entire thing together. They brought it back to where a mixtape was made to demonstrate skills without any rules. Pocket Full of Pesos is 1 hour of music; non-stop and without filler. The mixtape contains features by Molemen Records own Astonish and Jamal Science, as well as Clew Rock and Oscar Castillo. This is Scheme’s first offering in both English and Spanish. This is the introduction to Scheme bringing every facet of who he is to the table. He has a Pocket Full of Pesos, and he’s just trying to make these Pesos Turn to Dollars. Enjoy the music for what it is. Uneven Score finds Scheme battling old habits, while trying to break new ground. He understands the challenges he faces up ahead, but lets us know he is taking them all in stride. Scheme decides to let lose of another Remake while he works on both of his upcoming projects; Pocket Full of Pesos, which will be a mixtape in its true form, mixed by DJ Scend and filled with remakes, while Pesos Turn to Dollars will be an LP with all original music. This time around Scheme takes on the “Bun B for President” instrumental and has some fun with it. This is just an early warning of the projects he has in the works.

Scheme – The Change (Glory) [Audio x Download]

Scheme continues releasing remakes while working on his upcoming LP Pesos Turns to Dollars. This time around he creates The Change (Glory), which embodies everything the artist has experienced within the last 4 months, and also serves as a proclamation of what’s to come, both personally and musically. With this remake there’s a catch though; and it involves Scheme & DJ Scend’s next Two Turntables and a Mic Series. The duo usually releases the name of the producer shortly before releasing a new series, but this time they are taking a different approach. The next producer for the TT&AM Series actually has co-production credits on the original beat for The Change (Glory). For Scheme & DJ Scend part of the fun in coming up with the TT&AM Series is the digging aspect of it. Having to go through beats of producers they respect and finding those gems; well known and underappreciated. This time they leave the homework up to you; listen to The Change (Glory) and figure out which producer has co-production credits on it, and then you’ll know who the next TT&AM Series producer will be. Expect a mixtape from Scheme & DJ Scend before the upcoming Pesos Turns to Dollars LP, and expect the next TT&AM Series even sooner.
