Following the recent success of M-Dot's opus 'egO anD The eneMy' (critically credited early on as the favorite for album of the year) which produced a month long inspiring run (still going) as #1 seller at the nearly debunked UGHH...a legendary NYC release party, and a week of radio stops (including Sirius XM visits to Shade 45 w/ Tony Touch & Hip-Hop Nation w/ DJ Premier) the BeanTown syllable specialist now drops off another new visual-gem extracted from the aforementioned 'egO anD The eneMy'. "Fugazzi" takes a literal stab at individuals trying to portray a walk-of-life they don't strut. Offering guest vocals is the frequent M-Dot collaborator and veteran raspy-voiced Boston Legend Jaysaun. Bam Savage provides the reggae influenced chorus while LX Beats (Finland) lays the drum-work.
'Fugazzi' is the 5th video released off the highly anticipated "EgO anD The EneMy" (2 part release, Disc 1). Albums' will feature production by Hi-Tek, Large Professor, Marley Marl, Buckwild, Khrysis, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, 7L, !llmind, Da Beatminerz, Snowgoons and MANY more.

Just as promised, M-Dot hits us with his new album "egO anD The eneMy".
Boston award winning and veteran MC M-Dot paints a lucid world that navigates vivid storyline landscapes & morbid fantasies evoking an undertone that embodies the parallels between pride & fear. The 17 track excursion showcases a genuine tour de force of a conceptually mapped out dream realm trapped in self-reflection. The instrumentation that accompanies M-Dot's syllable acrobatics is laced by a legendary production dream-team. Facilitating board work for the traverse incandescent are Hi-Tek, Marley Marl, Large Professor, Buckwild, Khrysis, Marco Polo, Snowgoons & more. "egO anD The eneMy" also maintains classic form with minimal guest-verse offerings, nevertheless when it does....it's of paramount means. Method Man & Camp Lo partake in the project's vast imagination almost seamlessly. Rounding out the all-star contributions are DJ JS-1 & 7L on scratch duties. This is part 1...

Here's a new track from M-Dot's "egO anD The eneMy" album, dropping January 27th.
"Chrissy" follows a troubled young girl as she finds herself disenchanted and inevitably trapped in a bleak world eclipsed in misery. M-Dot concernedly narrates her ominous downfall while elaborately depicting all the serpents that eat off her along the way. The fictional track evokes reality yet balances a dreary illusion-state throughout. Buckwild (Big L, Biggie, Jay-Z) provides the fittingly dark backdrop.
The coveting of societal acceptance has reached new heights in a social media ("like" based) dominated planet. You find more people looking down (at their phones) then looking up to see what's happening with our culture nowadays; increasingly becoming robots to a system dangling products to the wide eyed eager consumer. M-Dot's latest single 'Days Are All The Same' paints a lucid world of these exact human shortcomings. The social/political narrative is carefully laced upon the back-drop of Hi-Tek's (Snoop Dogg, Big L, Eminem, 50 Cent, GhostFace Killah) eccentric drum arrangement.
"Days Are All The Same" follows the releases of the horror-core cinematic 'Dreamscape' (Prod. By Marco Polo), the innovative 360° visual 'Give It To Me' & the impetus latent 'Shine' (Ft. Method Man). All of the aforementioned appear on M-Dot's forthcoming "egO anD The eneMy", due to drop 1/27/17 (additional production by Large Professor, Marley Marl, Khrysis, Buckwild, 7L & more). Buckle up, as these cats ain't playing around. Real hip-hop is alive & well.
