JR & PH7 x St. Joe Louis – More Cadavers [EP]

After the “Coral Cadavers” album released in June 2017, JR & PH7 and St. Joe Louis are back with the “More Cadavers” EP. “More Cadavers” is an even darker set of noir-ish tales set against the seedy backdrop of Los Angeles started in “Coral Cadavers”. This EP continues the creative campaign of long-time allied forces, German production duo JR & PH7 with New Jersey MC trio St. Joe Louis. JR & PH7 generate an atmosphere of liquor soaked misunderstandings through off kilter synths and head-nodding drums while St. Joe Louis MCs, Elete Wright, Michael Cardigan and Tommie Chase carve confessions that linger like blood stains. “Under Pressure” is a show case in the dynamic sound arrangement of JR & PH7 while also displaying the poetic talents of St. Joe Louis. Elete Wright captures the sentiment with lines like “Beautiful Cadavers line the streets of my town / Sorrows made of Coral cross the sphinx like a crown / All my n*ggas ballin’ like they screaming out loud / Leaving the halls of sleepy hollow wide awake from the sound.” The added bonus of three instrumentals only highlights the enormous talents involved in this must hear international collaboration. JR & PH7 x St. Joe Louis feat. Roc Marciano – Driven [Audio]

New single from the team of German production duo JR & PH7 and New Jersey emcee trio St. Joe Louis. Boasting a guest verse from Strong Island rhyme champion, Roc Marciano, “Driven” is a hazy, xylophone-laced banger for hip-hop heads. “Driven” is the second advance single from the forthcoming album “Coral Cadavers” to be released this June. According to St. Joe spitter, Michael Cardigan it’s a concept album of a “neo-noir psychological thriller about a woman’s descent into moral ambiguities against the backdrop of Los Angeles.” Speaking on Roc’s inclusion on the track, Cardigan added “like a good heist picture, Roc Marci is the wild-card/out of town gunner who shakes things up at the last minute. JR & PH7 worked with him on their previous album, “The Good Life”. After placing a call to him, he liked the joint and jumped on it, done deal.”

JR & PH7 x Chuuwee feat. Bueno & Sean LaMarr – Meadowview Morning [Video]

JR & PH7 x Chuuwee’s “The South Sac Mack” album is out now. Sacramento might be one of the sunniest cities in the country, but for some, it seems as if they’re engulfed in a smog of crime and violence. Discrimination, police sirens and gun shots mask the voices of those trying to fight for what’s right, while others thank a higher power for making it through another day. For those who acknowledge the system that is Sactown, and all of its hardships, will no doubt admire the efforts of Chuuwee and JR & PH7, for their latest video, “Meadowview Morning”, as featured on their collaborative effort, ”The South Sac Mack”. As a native, Chuuwee’s able to shed light on how the game is really played, while stylistically, various zoom techniques, coupled with diffused lighting effects, give Chuu and his supporting cast of Bueno and Sean LaMarr, the feeling of being trapped in the beautiful chaos of Cali’s capital city. “Meadowview Morning” is one of the many tracks featured on ”The South Sac Mack”, which in now available on CD and vinyl, and can be downloaded through all major digital retailers, via Below System Records.
