HUBBS Interview On Rap Is Outta Control [Video]

Pittsburgh emcee HUBBS visited NYC to watch the Steelers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs by 2 points as well as promote his latest album, Black Privilege. In addition to football, HUBBS came up to chat with DJ Eclipse about his album “Black Privilege” with producer M16. HUBBS goes on to describe the album title meaning “Love is the black privilege, the lost privilege, the dead privilege that we all neglect for the sake of worldly power.” The album has a serious tone but is mixed with some lighthearted songs as well, with Skyzoo being the only guest feature on the project. HUBBS On Rap Is Outta Control [Video]

HUBBS drove all the way out to NYC from Pittsburgh to appear on RIOC with DJ Eclipse and talk about his upcoming mixtape, Modern Vintage III. The mixtape is a follow-up from the collaboration album, Piece Of Mind, with producer GitBeats. Modern Vintage III is comprised of mostly new material with some older songs in the mix. Special features include Kool Keith, Beedie, and production from M16, P. Fish, and more. HUBBS also mentions his next official album, produced entirely by Alabama’s own M16. Modern Vintage III is scheduled to release on July 21, 2015.

HUBBS, Skyzoo & DJ Rob Swift Freestyle On Rap Is Outta Control [Video]

Brooklyn, Queens, and Pittsburgh connected on this RIOC episode with DJ Eclipse. Emcees Skyzoo (BK) and HUBBS (PA) spit some very impressive freestyles while DJ Rob Swift of The X-Ecutioners cut the instrumental. HUBBS is preparing to release his mixtape Modern Vintage 3 and Skyzoo has just released his best project to date, Music For My Friends (purchase here) and DJ Rob Swift is promoting his kickstarter campaign for X-Files: Lost & Deleted. This will be Rob’s first album in six years, which includes a collection of rare, remixed, and reinterpreted songs for both young and old hip hop fans to appreciate.
