Mack Wilds & Don Cannon Talk “Trendsetter: The Album” [Video]

The Academy’s own, Trendsetter DJ Sense has finally decided to let the cat out of the bag. DJ Sense is set to bring back the true essence of R&B music and he is prepared to do it with the release of his new album, “Trendsetter: The Album”. As DJ Sense continues to add the finishing pieces to what will be a classic album, DJ Sense reached out to fellow Academy member DJ/producer Don Cannon and actor/R&B artist for a new banger that will be sure to heat up the streets and clubs alike. Recently during a private session at the World famous Means Streets Studios here in Atlanta, we caught up with Mack Wilds as he was creating the song and we sat down will Don Cannon to find out his creation process of the 90s sounding hip-hop/R&B track. Don Cannon informed us that he personally made the track with Mack Wilds in mind and he knew it was the perfect track for DJ Sense’s upcoming project “Trendsetter: The Album”. Before the session with Mack Wilds was over, we also sat down with Trendsetter DJ Sense so he could make the officially announcement about his upcoming album “Trendsetter: The Album”.

DJ Drama, Don Cannon & Trendsetter Sense – The Boondocks Season 4 [Mixtape]

On April 21, Adult Swim’s “The Boondocks” will kick off its 4th and final season. After enduring some pretty incredible adventures over thepast three seasons, this final one promises to take Granddad Freeman and his two roguish grandsons, Huey and Riley, to new comedic heights with their exploits. To celebrate the show’s fantastic run, a number of its very talented fan/friends got together to curate a Boondocks-inspired mixtape. The mixtape features some amazing up-and-coming artists from across the country, including Two9, Lil Herb, Skeme and Troy Ave., as well as the new single “The Boonies”, written and performed by Killer Mike and produced by Alchemist. The Aphilliates, DJ Drama, Don Cannon and DJ Sense, held a press conference to officially announce a new era in music with the creation of The Academy. Journalists from top hip-hop and entertainment media outlets attended the invite-only event to get the latest scoop on the trio’s endeavor. The 20 members of rated next DJs were personally handpicked by DJ Drama, Don Cannon and DJ Sense in a fantasy football mode to join the prestigious new collective The Academy.
