Read moreBig Twins has been putting in work since the release of ‘TNT,’ his super-grimy collaborative album with Los Angeles producer Twiz The Beat Pro. And today, the Queensbridge, N.Y. native is showing off his foreign exploits as he travels across Lausanne, Switzerland in his brand-new video medley. Director Sha Tussle, of Hostage Media who also shot Twins’ previously released video for “Rap Star,” (featuring Prodigy), reunites with the Queensbridge spitter to shoot a number of locations in the French-speaking Swiss city. Those include a packed venue where Twins rocks the stage, which is a familiar setting given that he’s been performing throughout Europe these past few months. Big Twins also stunts on the historic cobblestone streets and spits his bars in tagged-up back alleys. During the medley, he shares select pieces of ‘TNT’ standouts “Cola Cash Stank,” “Bobby Flay (feat. Ras Kass),” and “Straight Face (feat. Killer Ben).” There’s also a snippet in the intro of a non-album joint, “Last Man Standing (feat. Planet Asia),” which was released this summer. And if we’re lucky, it’ll end up on another project from Twins and Twiz, because the world deserves a ‘TNT’ sequel. Check out the visuals, and be sure to support Twins and Twiz’s ‘TNT’ LP which is now available for stream and download through all major platforms and digital retailers, via Sound Unity Entertainment.
Read moreWith Queensbridge rap heavyweights Big Twins and Prodigy as your guides, get ready for a tour of the city that never sleeps in the visuals for “Rotten Apple,” directed by Fahargo Filmz. Similar to Twins’ previously released visuals for “Rap Star,” this track also stems from his exalted LP, ‘TNT,’ with producer Twiz The Beat Pro. And its Pro’s instrumental that helps make “Rotten Apple” especially filthy, because he flips a wailing “New York!” vocal sample amidst lounge-y piano keys, laid-back guitars, and head-nodding drums. As you might expect, “Rotten Apple” also makes for the perfect soundtrack for Twins and Prodigy’s aforementioned jaunt through NYC. They post up on a rooftop and hit the streets while the Fahargo Filmz crew splices in footage of what makes the city so unique (the people and the culture, of course). Thankfully, they left out anything too literal from Twins’ line of “Millions of people, but probably got more rats.” Check out the visuals and be sure to support Twins and Twiz’s ‘TNT’ LP, which is now available through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms via Sound Unity Entertainment.
Read moreMarvelous Mag teams up with The Infamous Mobb General BIG TWINZ for this street single. We also heard they are working on a EP entitled “2 Wolves in the Same Forest.” The 2 jump on this classic Alchemist track and display that classic street griminess that New York is known for with the classic Hip Hop scratching sound from the Germanys own Turntablist “Chinch 33”, while the East Coast Nate Dogg doesn’t disappoint us with his Melodic melodies, TWINZ shows us why he will always be a General of Infamous Mobb and a QB Representative. So sit back relax and listen to the sounds of Mr Marvelous.
Read moreQueensbridge, N.Y. bruiser Big Twins heads back to his stomping grounds in the stylish new video for “Rap Star,” another standout joint off his stellar ‘TNT’ album with Los Angeles producer, Twiz The Beat Pro. Watching “Rap Star” provides some visual insight into where Twins is coming from, something he points out from the jump when he spits that he’s “born and raised in 41-16” over Twiz’s dark, piano-fueled instrumental. Twins also admits to taking a break from from NYC to get his “mind and his vision right,” which led him to residing in different spots (L.A. most recently) and touring the globe. Of course, this was all part of his journey to reach his goal of becoming a “Rap Star,” which he details in between speaking with the youth and flexing in front of some ill graffiti. The video was directed by the Hostage Media crew, whose past work includes collaborations with Cormega, Cam’ron, and Rick Ross. And given that their slogan is “It’s not what u shoot, it’s how u edit,” it’s only right that their words come to life here. Otherwise typical scenario become vibrant and almost psychedelic through the use of shape-shifting edits and effects. Peep the visuals, and then go ahead and support the duo’s ’TNT’ LP, which is now available for stream and download through all major platforms and digital retailers, via Sound Unity Entertainment.
