Brasstracks – Fever [Audio]

Brasstracks is back with “Fever”.

The Grammy Award winning duo (for Chance’s “No Problem” feat. Lil’ Wayne and 2 Chainz) have taken their inspirations and filled “Fever” to the brim with good vibrations. “Lately, I’ve been inspired by early ‘90s hip-hop, so in terms of feel [for “Fever”], I wanted to capture that driving buoyancy,” Conor told OKP exclusively. “We went back to our instrumental roots on this one, so, we’re happy we did. My inspiration came from hip-hop producers that like to push boundaries, but are also great at keeping people moving: [Dr.] Dre, [J] Dilla, Timbo come to mind immediately.” The duo also have a message for the listener who may already be placing expectations on their craft before pressing play, saying, “Don’t expect anything, life is better that way.” The instrumental does serve as a precursor for their upcoming two-part, as-yet-to-be-titled EP. “We’re excited to share this music with you, and we hope y’all dig it.”
