Lecrae Talks Colin Kaepernick, Christian Stereotypes, Race Relations, Humility + More [Video]

Hard Knock Tv’s Nick Huff Barili sits down with Lecrae for in-depth interview at Truth Studios. Part 2 starts with Lecrae sharing his thoughts on race relations in the US. Lecrae penned an essay on the subject last year on the fourth of July which was published in Billboard. Lecrae speaks on the power of using humility as the driving force in making change because we need to talk with each other, not at each other. Lecrae also shares books he recommends to people trying to understand the complexities of race in the US. Nick, asks Lecrae how he responds to fans who don’t think racism exists any more, a topic that came up from the response certain fans had to Nick and Logic’s conversations about race relations in the US today. As the conversation continues Lecrae states that he does not adhere to the conservative stereotypes that people try to place on Christians and says that he doesn’t want to be put in a box because there are a lot of layers to him. We end part two with Lecrae giving his thoughts about Colin Kaepernick and the fact that he is being blackballed by the NFL for speaking his mind on the inequality he sees in the US.
