Jarren Benton – The Mink Coat Killa LP [Album Stream]

Jarren Benton hits us with his new studio album, “The Mink Coat Killa LP”. Guests on the 15-track offering include Nick Grant, Aleon Craft, Demrick, Termanology and Chris Rivers. “‘The Mink Coat Killa’ is my self-inspired honorary Wu-Tang name,” Benton says. “The album started out as a tribute album to the Wu-tang Clan, but as I was making it and going through samples it became a tribute to the 90s period. I produced half the album going through the samples the WU used but instead of using them all out I flipped them and came up with a totally different 90s feel on some of the tracks.” Take a listen below and make sure to pick up a copy on iTunes.

Lando Chill – The Boy Who Spoke To The Wind [Album Stream]

Today, the new album from Lando Chill is out everywhere. “The Boy Who Spoke To The Wind” is a socially conscious album that addresses inner turmoil, interpersonal relationships, social acceptance and race in America, all while being personal and thought provoking. Originally from Chicago, Lando Chill moved to Arizona and it’s easy to hear the spirit of the desert in his music. A modern sage, Lando’s background in spoken word poetry is evident in his abstract stylings. His music carries unique cadences and modern sensibilities applied to a profoundly musical album.
