Paranoid Activity w/ Prodigy & Rick Ross [Video]

Remember that Prodigy line off the remix of “I Shot Ya,” where he said “Illuminati want my mind, soul, and my body,” P raps on the LL Cool J track. “Secret society trying to keep their eye on me.”

Today MASS APPEAL brings you the premiere episode of Paranoid Activity, a new video series hosted by Prodigy himself. Asking the questions others are afraid to address, Paranoid Activity fearlessly delves into all those ominous conspiracy theories you’ve always wondered about, but never had the guts to investigate.

P is hardly the first rapper to be fascinated by the arcane machinations of these clandestine organizations that are said to pull the strings behind the scenes. Ever since 1776, when professor Adam Weishaupt established the Order of the Illuminati, the secret society has exuded a strange mystique, given its ties to the Freemasons and fondness for arcane Rosicrucian rituals.

In the hip hop era, rumors have circulated that certain music moguls—like Shawn “Jay Z” Carter, for instance—have expanded their empires by making a deal with the Devil and harnessing supernatural forces by harnessing the power of the dark arts.

Paranoid Activity brings these furtive whispers out of the shadows and into the light for the good of all mankind. In today’s episode, P welcomes Miami rap icon Rick Ross, whose ninth studio album Rather You Than Me further solidified his standing as one of the greatest MCs of our time.

“Sign me up!” Rozay replied when asked point-blank if he is a card-carrying member of the malevolent organization.

“I’ve been making music for 20 years,” Ross elaborated. “I went over 10 years without making a dime in this. If I was gonna join the Illuminati, I would’ve. Don’t get me wrong. I would’ve. But i woulda done it back then… before my niggas went to jail.”

“I was so proud the first time I heard a nigga talk ’bout I was illuminati,” added the Bawse. “I swear to fuckin’ God I wanted to drink champagne and roll up some weed. I finally made it bitch! I’m above you stupid motherfuckers!”

Check out the video above, as Ross explains the meaning behind the Maybach Music logo and exposes the machinations behind his controversial track “Idols Become Rivals,” which puts Birdman on blast while defending the honor of Ross’s homie DJ Khaled.

“I’m from Miami, where Haitians do voodoo,” Ross explains in the clip, detailing the slaughtering of goats—”all of us would grab a leg—we fin’ to chop the head off, drain the blood.” If that’s not enough to get your heart racing, Rozay’s voodoo hex surely will.
