Run The Jewels – Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite) [Video]

Here’s the video for the lead single “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)” from the soundtrack for the documentary “Rubble Kings”. The single, produced by Little Shalimar and featuring Run The Jewels, is available for instant download when you pre-order the album on iTunes. Featuring performances from Bun B, Killer Mike, Tunde Adebimpe, Ghostface Killah, Roxiny and others, the album will be available in stores on January 15, 2016 via Mass Appeal Records. Directed by Shan Nicholson, this video was inspired by the Rubble Kings documentary and the works of the great Ralph Bakshi. The video depicts a story of street justice in the turbulent streets of the 1970’s South Bronx. We follow “Little Nina”, who’s violently attacked by a rival gang on her way home from her grandmother’s house. What follows is an all out rumble between her gang, the fictionalized “Rubble Kings” and the “Javelins”. Run the Jewels alongside producer Little Shalimar provide the rugged soundtrack to the piece.

Young Dolph – Missed Count [Video]

Young Dolph returns to his “Shittin On The Industry” mixtape this afternoon with the release of a music video for “Missed Count.” One of the many difficulties of being a drug dealer is having to count all that damn money, and loosing count because there’s so much of it. The song is about that and more trap dilemmas. Dolph dropped the project in early October, and just yesterday we received another set of visuals for a collaboration off the tape, “California,” with Colonel Loud, T.I. and Ricco Barrino. Watch the latest music video above, and stay tuned as we can probably expect more visuals off “Shittin On The Industry”.

Hudson Mohawke feat. Antony – Indian Steps [Video]

Taken from Hudson Mohawke’s recent Lantern LP, Indian Steps is a beautifully emotive track featuring haunting vocals from the inimitable Antony Hegarty. With German director Daniel Sannwald behind the unexpected visuals, inspiration came from Rodin’s The Kiss. “For the video I recreate that sculpture with two elderly bodies,” explains Daniel. “It was very touching and moving to see two aging bodies in such an intimate way. I wanted to use them as a symbol of time but also to capture the beauty of such vulnerability.” Explore a mysterious landscape of skin and bones as Anthony’s vocals wash over you, tracing lines of experience and memories in gold. The poetic lyrics tell of a relationship ending; the break of a special bond when so much love remains. “I strongly believe that every deep love has its own place and space and therefore lives on forever,” continues the director. May we all find our own eternal safe place in this stunning collaboration.
