Talib Kweli Speaks On Chances Of A Black Star Reunion [Video]

In this VladTV exclusive, Talib Kweli reflects on his verse on Kanye’s debut album, his new projects and possible reunions with his old groups Black Star and Reflection Eternal. While “Get Em High” remains a fan favorite from Kanye West’s debut album College Dropout, Kweli says he was bothered for a few months after the track was released because it wasn’t mixed well. He explains that Pro Tools was fairly new and when he sent in his vocals, they were placed on the wrong part of the beat. Despite his frustrations, he’s made peace with the innocent mistake. Speaking with VladTV before his surprise album F*** The Money was released on Friday, the rapper kept quiet about it and says he’s focused on working with upcoming artists K’Valentine and NICO IS. When asked about possible reunions with Black Star and Reflection Eternal, the rapper says he doesn’t see Black Star dropping new music anytime soon, but he’s teamed up with Hi-Tek for a few shows every year.
